as applied to mining, commercial developments, right-of-ways,
and other disturbed sites, including site stabilization,
revegetation, and the control of potential off-site

Air/Water/Soil Quality |

| Air, water, and soil quality as related to human
health and the environment, including a review of
various approaches to describing natural and impacted
conditions. Field exercises, including related planning,
quality assurance, safety and sample handling will
be completed. Prerequisites: CHEM 101, ENVR
101 and CSCI 101 or consent of division chairperson.
Corequisite: Recommended as part of an ENVR 252,
ENVR 293 cluster for full-time students. |

Environmental Compliance |

| Environmental laws and regulations with an emphasis
on air, water, waste, resource extraction, and NEPA.
NEPA compliance is used to illustrate ties between
various components. References and information sources
useable in the future are stressed. This is the
capstone course and includes the final comprehensive
assessment project which must be passed with a “C”
or better. Prerequisite: ENVR 101 or BIOL 101. |
