Dr.  J. Mack Cavendish

 

Dr. Cavendish received holds a BS in Psychology from Weber State University, a MA in Counseling from the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies,  a Doctor of Education in Community Health Education and Doctor of Jurisprudence, both from West Virginia University.  He is currently a licensed attorney who practices in the area of criminal law.

Over the past twenty-five years, Dr. Cavendish has held numerous faculty and administrative positions in higher education and the private sector.  He held various positions at West Virginia University from 1981-1996 in the cooperative Extension Service, Student health Service, School of Physical Education, and College of Medicine.  After leaving West Virginia University Dr. Cavendish served as the Director of the Office of Sponsored Research at Southeaster Louisiana University, Executive Director of LLVARE Biomedical Research Corporation in Loma Linda, California, Director of Research at the Minneapolis/St. Paul Children’s Hospitals and Clinics, and Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy and Faculty Research Officer at Shenandoah University in Winchester Virginia.

Dr. Cavendish assumed his present position as Associate professor and Coordinator of Criminal Justice at Glenville State College in August of 2007.
