     National Juvenile Detention Association

         With offices based at Eastern Kentucky University and at Michigan State University, the National Juvenile Detention Association (NJDA) exists exclusively to advance the science, processes, and art of juvenile detention services through the overall improvement of the juvenile justice profession.

      Texas Corrections Association

        Members are actively involved in all aspects of corrections including juvenile and adult parole and probation, detention centers, state jails and private institutions, community justice assistance divisions, drug courts, victim's groups, public and private agencies, vendors, and suppliers.

     Southern Criminal Justice Association

        A professional association serving criminal justice educators, researchers, practitioners, and students committed to the ongoing development of criminal justice science and practice.           

      Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences

       International organization established to foster professional and scholarly activities in the field of criminal justice.            

     Federal Bureau of Prisons

       Established in 1930, the Bureau consists of 98 institutions, 6 Regional offices, Headquarters, 3 staff training centers and 28 community corrections centers.

     U.S. Parole Commission

        An independent agency within the Department of Justice, the Commission has parole release jurisdiction over all eligible federal prisoners and supervisory jurisdiction over federal prisoners who are released on parole.

     American Jail Association

        A national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals who who work in and operate U.S. jails.

     American Probation and Parole Association

        An international association composed of individuals from the United States and Canada actively involved with probation, parole and community-based corrections, in both adult and juvenile sectors. All levels of government including local, state/provincial, legislative, executive, judicial, and federal agencies are counted among its constituents.
