Mission
Glenville State College is committed to educating
students to be thoughtful, productive, engaged, and
responsible citizens. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing
is designed primarily to prepare students to pursue
careers in the nursing profession.
Goals
A graduate of this program will:
- Be able to deliver high quality nursing services
to people of all age groups in diverse settings.
- Contribute to setting a national standard in
multidisciplinary, rural, community-based, self-directed
health education.
Objectives
A graduate in this program:
- Applies theory-based clinical judgment/decision-making
in the delivery of skilled nursing therapeutics
with persons across the lifespan in health promotion/risk
reduction, and health restoration settings. [nursing

- Demonstrates attitudes, values, personal qualities
and behaviors consistent with professional nursing

- Employs reasoning and creativity in the process
of assessment, analysis, synthesis, evaluation and
inference as a basis for professional nursing practice.
