Biography
Unger has 27 years of coaching experience, including 23 years as a head coach. For the seven years prior to him coming to Glenville State College, Unger served as the head coach at Lees-McRae College. Lees-McRae is a NCAA II member, as well as a member of the East Region with Glenville State. In all, Unger has over 300 head coaching victories and has coached at the NCAA I, II, and III levels, the NAIA level, and the high school level. In all, Unger has over 40 of his former players coaching now at the high school, college, and professional levels.

Unger prides himself as a father of three grown children: Scott, Steve, and Stacie. Additionally, he is the grandfather of one granddaughter, Addison and two grandsons, Aiden and Gabe.
