| Analysis of methods, curriculum patterns, and
trends in elementary school science are stressed.
Emphases are placed on pedagogical theories and
practices such as constructivism, the learning cycle,
inquiry techniques and performance-based assessment
as advocated in the National Science Education Standards
(1995). Clinical experience with elementary aged
students is provided. Prerequisites: BIOL 101,
SCNC 101, SCNC 151. |
