About the Pioneer Center

On July 12th, 2011, Glenville State College broke ground on the Pioneer Center, a $25 million facility that will house the college's Land Resources department, a 3,000 seat sports arena, a 3,000 seat sports arena, and other athletic facilities and offices. The builing may also include a 9,000 square foot healthcare facility for the college and community. The Pioneer Center will be located just off Mineral Road across from the Pioneer Village student housing complex.

Construction of the building is expected to be completed in phases with the Land Resources classroom section being done for the start of classes in August 2012, the sports arena in time for the 2012-2013 basketball season, and the rest of the building sometime in the spring of 2013.
