Each summer, Glenville State College hosts camps for the area Hidden Promise Scholars in the 8th through 12th grades. The agenda varies but will include activities such as aquatic and aerospace exploration, crime scene investigation, swimming, boxing, etiquette, career exploration, ACT and general testing skills, completing a college application, and multiculturalism.

8th Grade Camp (Incoming 9th Graders)

3 days, 2 nights
June 15th – 17th; stay overnight on June 15th and 16th

  • Career exploration
  • Aquatic and aerospace exploration
  • Teambuilding
  • Activities (crime scene investigation, science experiments, fundamentals of boxing, etc.)

9th Grade Camp (Incoming 10th Graders)

3 days, 2 nights
June 22nd – 24th; stay overnight on June 22nd and 23rd

  • Career exploration
  • Aquatic and aerospace exploration
  • Teambuilding
  • Activities (crime scene investigation, science experiments, fundamentals of boxing, etc.)

10th Grade Camp (Incoming 11th Graders)

4 days, 3 nights
July 7th – 10th; stay overnight July 7th, 8th, and 9th

  • ACT & general testing skills
  • College environment
  • Multiculturalism
  • Activities (fingerprinting, movies, swimming, fundamentals of boxing, etc.)

11th Grade Camp (Incoming 12th Graders)

4 days, 3 nights
July 14th – 17th; stay overnight July 14th, 15th, and 16th

  • Criminal Justice Exploration
  • How to complete a college application
  • Etiquette skills

12th Grade Camp (Incoming College Freshman)

8 days, 6 nights
July 21st – 24th & July 28th – July 31st
Stay overnight July 21st – 23rd and July 28th – 30th
