Beginning, intermediate, and advanced learners will spend five semesters in language courses where speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills are emphasized. Majors and minors (or other advanced learners) can select upper-level courses where they may study Hispanic film, current events in the Hispanic world, or representative literary works of Spain and/or Latin America.
In today’s multicultural world, Spanish proficiency gives you an edge if you are interested in pursuing a career in business, the health-care professions, or law enforcement. Near-native proficiency opens up doors to you internationally as well as right here at home in our secondary schools. Go ahead, check us out! And be sure to check out our Club de español (Spanish Club) Facebook page as well.
