Pioneers Dismantle Lake Erie, 82-49

(GLENVILLE, WV) --- The Glenville State Pioneers raced out to a huge 1^st half lead and coasted to an 82-49 Non League victory over the visiting Storm of Lake Erie College. The Pioneers, who have now won six straight, were paced by Senior Anthony Kimble’s 19 points and five rebounds in just 22 minutes of action. GSC (8-2, 2-1) continues to build on its best start since the 1992-93 campaign.

Pioneers Win Streak At Five With Victory Over Waynesburg

The Glenville State College men's basketball team ran their win streak to five games as they closed out 2008 with a 97-68 victory over visiting Waynesburg College. Further, the 7-2 start for the Pioneers is the program's best since 1992-93.

Lady Pioneers Volleyball Sign 1st Recruit for 2009

(GLENVILLE, WV) --- Head Coach Patrick Maiden is pleased to annouce his first signing at Glenville State, Middle Hitter Ashley Dann from Corning, NY. Dann comes to GSC by way of Cornning Communitty College where she excelled in her first two seasons on the court. Ashley earned All-MSAC and All Region honors in both seasons, and in her sophomore campaign was named MSAC Player of the Year and to the NJCAA D3 All American 1st Team.

(GLENVILLE, WV) --- Glenville State College will presented the 2008 Clarissa Williams and Frank Montrose Awards during pre-game festivities of the Pioneer Homecoming game with West Virginia State University on Saturday, October 25th at Morris Stadium.

Meet The 2008-2009 Glenville State Pioneer

Glenville, WV—Glenville State College has named Evan Joseph Aldridge as the Pioneer Mascot for the 2008-09 school year. The new Pioneer was introduced on Wednesday, April 23rd, during the campus picnic at the GSC Amphitheatre. Aldridge was selected after a rigorous process that included an application with an essay, references, and an interview with the selection committee.
