Emergency Contact Numbers | Annual Crime Report

The Glenville State College campus is a safe, secure haven tucked into the hills of central West Virginia. Campus Security employs two full-time sworn police officers and four full time security officers. All members of the security department are trained in basic first aid and CPR, and attend various training and refresher courses regularly. Each member maintains constant contact with 911 dispatchers and appropriate campus dispatch personnel.

The duties of the Glenville State College Campus Security officers include, but are not limited to, all security and public safety duties. Some of these duties include vehicle and foot patrol of the campus and campus properties, regulation of traffic flow and parking, prevention of criminal activity, crowd control at public events on campus, building lock up, and community and motorist assistance.

The Glenville State College Campus Security Department has an excellent working relationship with all other local law enforcement agencies. In addition to regular duties, the Security Department assists and receives assistance from these agencies whenever necessary. Updates on crimes that occur off campus that could potentially affect the campus are received from these agencies on a regular basis.
