Financial assistance in the form of grants, loans and work opportunities is awarded based on your financial need. Students can qualify by demonstrating economic need, usually by completing the FAFSA. Glenville State College’s FAFSA code number is 003813. Instructions on how to fill out a FAFSA line by line will help step you through the process.
The amount your family is expected to contribute toward your education is based on your family’s financial strength. Income, family size, number of family members in college, assets, allowable expenses and indebtedness affect your financial aid eligibility. Some students’ applications are selected for verification, in which case you will be required to submit income documents. Students must attend school at least half-time to be considered for student loans, as well as to defer their student loan payments.
- Grants do not have to be repaid.
- Loans must be repaid after the student leaves school.
- Federal and state funded work opportunities are available on campus.
More information about grants, loans, and work opportunities can be found in the menu selections at left and in the college catalog.
