Two Glenville State College students are finalists in the West Virginia Statewide Business Plan Competition. Danny and Clair Gilbert of Glenville (Gilmer County), West Virginia will compete in the contest’s hospitality and tourism category.
The reading will be held on Friday, April 11th at 4:00 p.m. in the Mollohan Campus Community Center Multipurpose Room (315A). The reading will give the writers, poets, and artists a chance to bring their works to life in a spoken-word format. It will also include an open microphone session.
The public is invited to Mollohan’s Restaurant at Glenville State College on Thursday, March 27th from 4:30 until 7:00 p.m. for March’s Premium Night.
Glenville State College alumnus John Bird has received the Graduate Forestry Technician Achievement Award of the Council of Eastern Forestry Technician Schools. The presentation was recently made by GSC Land Resources Professor Emeritus Rick Sypolt.
Create West Virginia officials say their annual event is coming to Glenville and Glenville State College. Create West Virginia’s next annual conference is scheduled from October 25th through October 28th.
Glenville State College accounting students are again providing assistance to taxpayers who need help filing their basic federal and West Virginia income tax returns.
Lifeguard classes are scheduled to be held soon at Glenville State College. Students can either sign up ahead of time or simply attend the first class.
Sign-ups for swimming lessons at Glenville State College that were cancelled on Monday, March 2nd due to inclement weather have been rescheduled.
Three Glenville State College Dining Services employees took part in the 11th Annual Culinary Classic held at Stonewall Resort in Weston, West Virginia on March 7th and 8th.
