The annual Glenville State College Fall 2012 Pioneer Preview will take place on Saturday, November 10th. This event is held for prospective students and their families to tour the campus and learn about GSC academic degree programs and student services.
Joseph Pettit, a 1976 Glenville State College graduate, will be presenting his oil paintings in front of the GSC Robert F. Kidd Library on Friday, October 26th from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. This showcase is one of many planned activities for the 2012 Homecoming Week.
The Glenville State College Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble performed at the 2012 ITEC in Linz, Austria.
The 11th annual Glenville State College Bluegrass Band Concert is being held October 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium. This event is one of many scheduled during the 2012 GSC Homecoming week.
The annual 2012 Glenville State College Fine Arts Department Music Fest is scheduled for October 16th at 7:00 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium. The event features performances from the GSC Music Department including the Jazz Band, Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Brass Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble, Bluegrass Band, GSC Drum Line, and the GSC ‘Wall of Sound’ Marching Band.
The Glenville State College Foundation is sponsoring a performance by the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra (WVSO) on September 28th at 7:30 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium.
‘Invironment,’ a work by multimedia sculptor and installation artist Jason Lee, is on display in the Glenville State College Art Gallery. The show opened August 27th and will run until October 11th. Lee incorporates a wide variety of materials and techniques into his oddly humorous constructions and presentations.
Winners have been announced for the fifth annual Glenville State College Juried Student Art Show.
The second annual Glenville State College Pioneer Showcase took place on Tuesday, April 10th. The showcase is a competition where GSC students present research and creative arts abstracts in a formal setting. The judges are made up of GSC faculty.
The Glenville State College Bluegrass Band is heading to Tennessee to record their first CD.
