Glenville, WV –An organizational meeting is being planned to discuss the idea of planting a future ‘Community Garden’ in Glenville. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilmer County Senior Center Dining Room.
Meeting organizer Tamie Shiplett from Glenville State College says discussions will include the needs of the community, the type of garden it should be, the kinds of vegetables that should be grown in it, and more. “Community gardens have become quite popular across the country. Those who plant gardens at their homes every year and those who do not are encouraged to participate with their neighbors in this project,” said Shiplett.
Everyone is welcome to attend. There is no cost to attend this meeting and participate in the garden. For more information, contact Shiplett at (304) 462-6025.
