Glenville, WV – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed former Glenville State football standout linebacker Terrell Parker.
Parker the 5’11 220 pound linebacker, started 40 games over four seasons at Glenville State and recorded 287 tackles, 53 tackles for loss, 19 sacks, 10 interceptions, five forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and two blocked kicks over that span. He was also a part of the 2008 WVIAC Conference Championship team.
He was an All-American at his position as a junior and was voted All-Conference for three straight years from 2007-2009. Parker signed with the Assindia Cardinals of the German Football League in 2010 and started all 12 games recording 92 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, one sack and two interceptions.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are members of the East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The Blue Bombers were founded in 1930. Since that time they have won the league’s Grey Cup championship ten times, most recently in 1990. With 10 wins they have the third highest win total in the Grey Cup among active and defunct CFL teams. The Blue Bombers have won 19 Western Division Championships and 7 Eastern Division Championships.
