Lady Pioneers Hire New Assistant Coach

Glenville, WV – Glenville State Lady Pioneers Head Basketball Coach Bunky Harkleroad would like to announce the hiring of his new assistant coach Kim Stephens. Kim replaces former assistant Charles “Cookie” Marshall.

She returns to Glenville after graduating from GSC in 2011 with a degree in Sport Management and a minor in Psychology. Kim was four year member of the Lady Pioneers Basketball team from 2007 to 2011 and was the captain of the 2011 WVIAC Championship Team.

She also was named the WVIAC Scholar Athlete Award in 2011.

Before GSC she attended Parkersburg South High School and graduated in 2007. She also won a State Championship in 2006.

Kim spent the last season as a graduate assistant at Ohio Valley University. She will finish her master’s in Education in December 2012.

“I am truly excited to be back at Glenville, it really has felt like a second home for me,” said Stephens.

“I can’t wait to get to work and try to bring another championship back to GSC,” stated Kim.

Kim is single and resides in Glenville.
