Tornado, WV - The Glenville State Lady Pioneers golf team played a duel match with the University of Charleston at Big Bend Golf Course on a rainy Monday afternoon.
The Lady Pioneers finished the day with a team score of 374, lowest score in school history, but it wasn’t enough to knock off the Golden Eagles as they finished the round with a 327.
GSC was paced by WVIAC All Conference golfer Sammi Moore as she shot an 82. Alex Fitzwater and freshman Cami Roberts both finished with an 89.
Morgan Talbott shot a 114 and Jamie Schindel finished with a 116.
“I thought that the ladies played really well today,” said Head Coach Jonathan Griffin. “I am very excited about the future and I am looking forward to the Northern Regional,” stated Coach Griffin.
The Lady Pioneers return to action September 30th and October 1st as they travel to Moundsville, WV for the WVIAC Northern Regional.
