Lady Pioneers Fall at Home to Concord

Glenville, WV – The Glenville State Lady Pioneer volleyball team fell at home to WVIAC Conference foe Concord University 4-1 on Thursday night.

The Lady Pioneers got off to a good start as they took set one 28-26.

In set two both teams battled back and forth before Concord took set two, 29-27.

GSC would try and gain control in set three and four but it wasn’t enough as Concord took both sets 25-15.

GSC was led by Dejana Ludoski with 17 kills on the night, Ella Messinger finished with 10 kills, and Natalie Baumgartner tallied 9 kills in the game.

Stefanie Gladders led the team in assists with 17, while freshman Kaci Sullivan chipped in with 13 assists.

Dejana Ludoski also had 3 serve aces in the game while Stefanie Gladders, Natalie Baumgartner, and Heather Stout all had a serve ace in the game.

Concord was led by Sarah Jones with 11 kills while Amanda Walker had 23 assist in the game.

The Lady Pioneers return to action Friday when Bluefield State travels to Glenville as that will cap off Parents Week. Game time is set for 7:00pm.
