Ginny Mills Earns WVIAC Honor

Ginny Mills has been named WVIAC Player of the Week twice this year

Princeton, WV - Glenville State’s Ginny Mills has been named the WVIAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Mills, a 5’7” guard from Steubenville, Ohio, led the Pioneers to a 2-0 week. In a three-point win against Charleston, Mills buried a three-point shot with eight seconds remaining for the game-winning tally. She notched 16 points in the game to go along with nine rebounds. Against Ohio Valley, Mills netted 29 points, including 21 coming from downtown. She dished out three assists and had a WVIAC-season best eight steals in just 20 minutes of work.

The squad is currently second in the WVIAC with a 5-1 league record.

GSC returns to action against UPR-Mayaguez today. The squad heads to West Virginia State on Jan. 5 for its next league contest.
