Glenville, WV – The Glenville State Lady Pioneers rolled over Alderson-Broaddus on Senior Day, as they Pioneers fans honored Jelena Elez and LaToya Hambrick, beating the Battlers, 116-63.
The Lady Pioneers dominated from start to finish as they never trailed in the game.
The GSC defense caused 28 turnovers and converted them into 39 points. The Lady Pioneers also dominated in the paint as they out-scored Alderson-Broaddus 34 to 20 in the paint.
The Lady Pioneers had four players score in double figures as Ginny Mills led the way with a game high 30 points.
Kenyona Simmons scored 22 points while Ashleigh Fossett chipped in with 20 points.
Senior LaToya Hambrick scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds in her final game at Jesse R. Lilly Gym. The other lone senior, Jelena Elez, dished out a game high eight assists.
AB was led by Leah Hurst as she was the only Battler to score in double figures.
The Lady Pioneers claim the regular season WVIAC Championship and will not play again until Wednesday, February 27th at the Charleston Civic Center as they received the bye in the first round of the WVIAC Tournament.
They finish the regular season with a 26-2 (20-1) record.
