- Jamie Schindel and Colston Bayless along with Dr. Peter Barr are awarded the Senior Scholar Award at the 76th Annual WVIAC Basketball Tournament
Princeton, W. Va. - The West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) has issued the winners of the College Foundation of West Virginia (CFWV) Senior ScholarAthlete awards. All 15 league member institutions honor a male and female student-athlete that has demonstrated proficiency in the classroom and as an athlete. All award winners must compile at least a 3.3 grade point average.
For Glenville State College senior football player Colston Bayless and senior women’s golfer Jamie Schindel have won the award.
Colston Bayless is from Gordonsville, Virginia and was the field goal kicker for the GSC Pioneer Football team for four years. Colston is studying Math Education at Glenville State.
Jamie Schindel is from Tory, Ohio she was a three-year member of the GSC Volleyball team and also a part of the Lady Pioneers Golf team. Jamie is studying Criminal Justice at Glenville State.
Glenville State and the Athletic Department would like to Congratulate Colston and Jamie on this amazing award as well as wish them both the best of luck in the future.
