Glenville, W. Va. – The Glenville State Track & Field teams hosted the Pioneers open on Friday, March 22nd and Saturday, March 23rd.
The GSC women’s team finished in second place with 210 points as West Virginia Wesleyan took first place with 260 points.
Chelsea Stickelman finished in second place in the 10000 meter run with a time of 53:06.56.
In the Javelin Throw Jenny Wolfe placed second, while Chelsea Stickelman finished in third, and Nycole Wymer came in fourth.
In the women’s Heptathlon 100 meter hurdles Marteney Jacobs placed second with a time of 17.00, in the heptathlon high jump Jacobs came in second as well with a jump of 1.43 meters.
Marteney Jacobs also placed second in the heptathlon 200 meter dash with a time of 27.66 while she came in first place in the heptathlon shot put with a distance of 9.91 meters.
On the men’s side GSC took first place as they scored 225 points.
The Pioneers took third, fourth, and fifth place in the javelin throw as Jared Shipe threw 34.54 meters, Robert Stump threw 33.12 meters, and Trey Livingston threw 32.64 meters.
In the men’s Decathlon 100 meter dash Ronnie Mills took first place with Boris Nimcevic took second place.
Ronnie Mills also took second place in the decathlon long jump with a jump of 5.47 meters while Boris Nimcevic took third with a jump of 5.31 meters.
In the decathlon shot put Ronnie Mills took second while Boris Nimcevic took fourth place.
While in the decathlon high jump Ronnie Mills took third place and Boris Nimcevic took fourth place.
And in the last decathlon event Boris Nimcevic took second place in the 400 meter run with a time of 54.20 while Ronnie Mills took fourth with a time of 56.41.
The Track & Field teams return to action April 6th when they travel to Bethany College.
