Glenville, W. VA. - Football season will be here before we know it.
The Glenville State Pioneers got a head start during the week as they held the Pioneer Football Camp from I. L. and Sue Morris Stadium.
The three-day camp allowed grades 5-12 to be the first football players to get to use the new state-of-the-art turf that was laid on I.L. & Sue Morris Stadium earlier this month.
Head Coach David Hutchison taught fundamentals that each camper can practice at home, the campers also took part on team 7 on 7, and most importantly each camper learned to have fun while playing the game they love.
“It’s great to help improve these campers football technique and skill, but most of all we wanted to make sure that they realize that football is also fun and I believe that all the campers had a blast this year,” stated GSC Head Coach David Hutchison.
Be on the lookout for the 2014 GSC Football Camp so that you don’t miss a great time.
Glenville State begins its season on September 7th at VMI.
The Pioneers first home game will be played on September 19th when they host rival Fairmont State.
