GSC won the rushing battle as they rushed for 78 yards as a team, while the Blue Knights netted 46 yards as a team on the ground.
Urbana threw for 176 yards through the air while the Pioneers had 155 yards through the air.
The Pioneers committed four turnovers in the loss. They also committed seven penalties for 75 yards.
GSC sophomore running back Rahmann Lee led the ground attack for the G men as he rushed for 70 yards on 24 carries.
Freshman quarterback Sean Steele went 19 for 36 for 155 yards. He also had three interceptions on the afternoon.
Seth Jordan caught six balls for 29 yards while senior receiver Michael Evans caught two passes for 46 yards. On defense Darren Elliott had 2 interceptions on the day, along with 3.5 tackles.
West Virginia Wesleyan comes into the Saturday’s matchup after suffering a big loss to Shepherd 45-10. The Bobcats are 1-3 on the season and 1-2 in the MEC conference, their lone win coming over UVa-Wise back on September 14th.
It is also Homecoming for the Pioneers; kickoff is set for 1:30pm.
The Pioneers also have played some young talent step up this season, the Pioneers have had a ton of young players make their first career start this year as in Sean Steele – quarterback, Dante Absher – Wide Receiver, Seth Jordan – Wide Receiver, Ryan Cullen – Kicker, Tyler Czajkowski – Punter, and Alex Robinson – Tight End.
