Bridgeport, W.Va. - Donte Morales (Glenville State) and Leann Ross (Charleston) have been named Mountain East Conference Basketball Players of the Week.
Morales, a junior from Virginia Beach, Va., dropped 40 points against Ohio Valley to lead the Pioneers to a 103-90 win. He was 16-of-20 from the field, including 5-of-7 from three-point range, and added seven rebounds for GSC.
Ross, a junior from Marietta, Ohio, led the Golden Eagles to a 2-0 week at the Clarion Classic. She scored a game-high 22 points vs. Clarion in the opener hitting 8-of-11 from the field, including 6-of-7 from three-point range. In the second game against Millersville, she contributed 12 points in the win over the Marauders.

C.J. Hester (West Liberty) had 24 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Nova Southeastern … Casey Baker (Urbana) had his second career double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds … Chase Morgan (Fairmont State) had 14 points in a win over Winston-Salem State … Brantley Osborne (Shepherd) averaged 14.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.5 steals in a 2-0 week for the Rams.
