Glenville, W.Va. – Glenville State Lady Pioneers senior guard Ginny Mills hit a three-pointer with 6 seconds left as the Lady Pioneers defeated the Fairmont State Falcons 111-110.
Glenville State and Fairmont State would battle back and fourth in the first half, however GSC would take a slight lead into halftime over FSU, 57-56.
In the second half GSC would come out hot and build a 15 point lead with 13:16 left to play in the game.
However Fairmont State would battle back and take a 108-107 lead over the Lady Pioneers with only 28 seconds left to play.
Tasia Bristow would have a huge three-point play as GSC tied it up 108 all. But FSU would come right back and take the lead 110-108 with 9 seconds to go.
Then Ginny Mills stepped up and hit the game winner three-pointer with 6 second to play as GSC downed FSU 111-110.
GSC defense caused 22 FSU turnovers while the offense converted them into 24 points.
The Lady Pioneers had six players score in double figures with Tasia Bristow leading the way with 20 points. She also pulled down a team high 8 rebounds. Keyanna Tate scored 15 points while Kenyell Goodson scored 14 points.
Ashleigh Fossett scored 13 points while Tiffani Huffman scored 11 points. Kenyona Simmons chipped in with 10 points. Also Jessica Parsons dished out a game high 10 assists.
Fairmont State was led by Emily Lohr as she scored 20 points.
The Lady Pioneers return to action December 5th when they travel to take on Concord University. Tip-off is set for 5:30p.m.
