Lamar Mallory Named Mountain East Conference Player of the Week

Glenville State forward Lamar Mallory has been named the Mountain East Conference Player of the Week

Bridgeport, W.Va. - Glenville State’s Lamar Mallory has been named Mountain East Conference Player of the Week for his efforts in leading the Pioneers to a 94-87 win over previously unbeaten Fairmont State.

Mallory, a senior forward from Dayton, Ohio, had a team-best 25 points on 11-of-17 shooting in the Pioneers win over the Falcons. He also added nine rebounds and swatted away a pair of shots as Glenville State improved to 3-1 on the year and 1-1 in Mountain East Conference play.

Xavier Humphrey (Charleston) scored 34 points in a conference win over Wheeling Jesuit … Javon Moore (UVa-Wise) nearly recorded a triple-double with 22 points, nine rebounds and eight assists against Notre Dame College … Keene Cockburn (West Liberty) had 17 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots in a win over West Virginia State … Brantley Osborne (Shepherd) scored 23 points in a win for the Rams over West Virginia Wesleyan … Mike Boyd (Concord) led the Mountain Lions to a 2-1 week averaging 14.7 points, 3.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds … Lawrence DeArmond (Notre Dame) had 21 points and eight rebounds vs. UVa-Wise … Eric Siefert (Wheeling Jesuit) was named the Gary Miller Classic Most Outstanding Player after leading the Cardinals to the title … WJU was 2-1 on the week and Siefert averaged 15.3 points for the Cardinals … Caleb Davis (Fairmont State) averaged 20 points in a 1-1 week for the Falcons.
