GSC senior point guard Tasia Bristow has been named the MEC Women’s Player of the Week

Bridgeport, W.Va. - Glenville State’s Taisa Bristrow has been named Mountain East Conference Player of the Week for her efforts in leading the Pioneers to a 111-110 victory over Fairmont State.

Bristrow, a senior guard from Baltimore, Md., tallied 20 points for GSC in the win over the Falcons. She also added three assists and eight rebounds as the Pioneers moved to 2-0 in the MEC.

Reynesha Archer (UVa-Wise) scored 20 points in 18 minutes in a win over Notre Dame … Jenn Mohney (West Liberty) scored 22 points to lead the ‘Topers past West Virginia State … Cara Mason (Shepherd) had a game-high 18 points in the Rams road win over West Virginia Wesleyan … Ebany Brumfield (Urbana) came off the bench and registered a double-double in a win over Concord … Brianna Innocent (Fairmont State) poured in 33 points off the bench in a one-point loss against Glenville State … Sissy Wagner (Concord) had 24 points, six rebounds and five assists vs. Urbana … Chyress Lockhart (Charleston) had 19 points in a win over WJU.
