Glenville, W.Va. – The #11 Glenville State Lady Pioneers basketball team cruised to a huge 58 point victory over the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats on Thursday evening, 122-64.
West Virginia Wesleyan took an early one point lead, 13-12, at the 14:49 mark of the first half but that would be the last time the Bobcats would have a lead. GSC would go on to blowout West Virginia Wesleyan, 122-64.
GSC‘s defense would cause 29 turnovers and converted them into 47 points. The Lady Pioneers also outscored the Bobcats in the paint 43 to 28.
GSC scored 25 second chance points while West Virginia Wesleyan scored 19.
The Lady Pioneers had six players score in double figures with Tiffani Huffman leading the way with a game high 23 points. Paige Tuttle scored a career high, 14 points off the bench while Kenyell Goodson also scored 14 points.
Ashleigh Fossett and Kenyona Simmons both scored 12 points each and Tasia Bristow chipped in with 10 points.
Aesha Peters grabbed a game high 10 rebounds for GSC while Tasis Bristow dished out a game high 8 assists. Also the Lady Pioneers had every player on the team score in the game.
Allie Brown scored 14 points for West Virginia Wesleyan while Kiki DeVane scored 13 points.
The Lady Pioneers return to action this Saturday, January 25th at home when Concord travels to Glenville. Tip-off is set for 2:00 pm.
