South Euclid, Ohio – The GSC men’s basketball team went on the road Saturday afternoon and walked away with an 18 point victory over Notre Dame College, 87-69.
The Pioneers would start quick as they jumped out to a, 15-7 lead early in the first half. GSC would continue their strong play and take an 11 point lead into halftime, 46-35.
The Pioneers would have no trouble as they would cruise through the second half as they went on to win by 18 points, 87-69.
GSC won the rebounding battle as they out-rebounded Notre Dame 43 to 30. The Pioneers would score 22 points off of turnovers, while they scored 14 second chance points.
GSC had four players score in double figures with Kevin Gray leading the way with a game high 25 points. Lamar Mallory scored 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in the win.
Lamont Cole and Reggie Williams both finished the day with 10 points each. Williams also dished out 7 assists.
Notre Dame College was led by Lawrence DeArmond as he scored 17 points and Jarvis Huntley as he scored 15 points.
The Pioneers hit the court Thursday, February 20th when they travel to Wheeling Jesuit. Game time is set for 7:30 pm.
