Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State College men’s and women’s basketball teams took time out of their busy schedule to go and spend some time with the kids at Sand Fork Elementary School last Friday, February 29th.
Both teams spent time talking with the kids, going over basketball techniques, drills, and teaching them overall good sportsmanship.
“It’s so great to get out here and see how much this means to the kids and just how much fun they have,” stated Head Men’s Coach Stephen Dye.
At the very end of the day Brett Morris and Kalleone Moret finished the day with a dunk contest as they kids screamed and cheered.
“It’s awesome to be able to get out here and help teach these young kids the meaning of basketball, as well as show them how much fun it can be,” stated senior guard Tiffani Huffman.
The women’s basketball team will return to the court Thursday, March 6th at 6:00 p.m. at the Charleston Civic Center in the MEC Conference Tournament Championship as they will play the winner of the Wheeling Jesuit/Concord game.
The men’s team will return to action Friday, March 7th at 2:15 p.m. at the Charleston Civic Center in the MEC Tournament Conference Championship, they will play the winner of the Shepherd/Concord game.
