The Glenville State College men’s basketball team suffered a tough loss to Concord University 102-84. The Pioneers have now lost 8 straight games in a row.
Aaron Dobson led the Pioneers on the night; he had a double double scoring 28 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Also for GSC Gabe Gibbs had a season high 22 points, while Delorean White had 12 points, and Nick Dent chipped in with 11 points. Ryan Burts dished out a game high 5 assists.
Concord was led by Matt Parker with 28 points; they also had 3 other players score in double figures. Kortea Johnson scored 19 points, while Gentry Sherwbury scored 11 points, and Rick Alderman chipped in with 10 points.
Concord shot 61 percent for the game while the Pioneers shot a miserable 39 percent. With the loss the Pioneers fall into eleventh place in the WVIAC Conference, it brings their record to 5-17 and 4-13 in conference play.
The Pioneers return to action Thursday at home, when they look avenge an early season loss to Bluefield State, tipoff is set for 7:30PM.
