GSC Men Fall at WV State 98-112

The Glenville State College men’s basketball team lost a hard fought game to WV State 98-112. It was the Pioneers sixth straight lost, which brings there record to 5-15 and 4-11 in conference play. GSC Men Fall at WV State 98-112

Also with the lose it’s the Pioneers tenth lost away from home, making the only win on the road come at WV Wesleyan. The Pioneers had five players score in double figures while Ryan Burts led the team with 20 points.
Nick Dent chipped in with 15 points, while Marcus Catney and Gabe Gibbs both scored 14 points. Aaron Dobson scored 11 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for a double double on the night.
While the Pioneers had five players score in double figures, WV State had six players score in double figures, with Josh “Cookie” Miller and Jason Emerson leading the Yellow Jackets with 26 points each.
The Pioneers out rebounded the Yellow Jackets 49-30. Also both teams shot the ball well; the Pioneers shot 49 percent from the floor while the Yellow Jackets shot 55 percent from the floor.
The Pioneers return to action Saturday at home when they take on the University of Charleston Golden Eagles, tipoff is set for 7:30.
