Lady Pioneers Volleyball Signs Four Players

Head Volleyball Coach Camai Roberson would like to announce four new players that have signed to play at Glenville State next season.

Cora VanDine comes to GSC from Greeneview High School in Jamestown, OH. Cora is an outside hitter and will most likely play the same position for the Pioneers. “Cora has the potential to be a good player for us in 2011 and will look for her step up and help us a lot,” stated Coach Roberson.

Stefanie Gladders comes to GSC from High Level Public School in High Level, AB. She was named Two Time Volleyball MVP, and Two Time Regional All Star. “Stefanie is going to be a good player for us and we are looking for some good things from her this upcoming season,” said Coach Roberson.

McKenzie Willneff is a transfer from Glendale Community College. She is from Peoria, AZ and attended Centennial High School. McKenzie is an outside hitter with good power. “McKenzie is going to help us out a lot in 2011, she already has college experience which will help us since we are a fairly young team,” stated Coach Roberson.

Megan Normant of Normantown, WV will also join the Lady Pioneers in 2011. Megan was a Special Honorable Mention on the West Virginia Class A All State Volleyball team this past fall. “Megan is going to fit in good with our program; it’s always nice to find a local girl that has the potential to really help us out,” said Coach Roberson.

The Lady Pioneers will open up the 2011 season at home on September 2nd and 3rd as they host the Pioneer Invite. The teams will consist of Kentucky Wesleyan, Ursuline, Ohio Dominican and Glenville State.
