GSC Volleyball Drops Davis and Elkins 3-1

Glenville State used excellent hitting and great defense to help them to pick up a key WVIAC Volleyball victory over the host Senators of Davis & Elkins, by a score of 25-22,18-25,25-16 and 25-14.  Sophomore OH Chelsea Tripp had a season high 14 kills while conectting with a  .26% hitting percentage.  Senior MB Camai Roberson added 10 kills, while Junior Lauren Saelens chipped in nine kills for the Lady Pioneers as they improved to 12-14 Overall and 9-6 in the WVIAC. 

Sophomore Setter Erica Hall added 40 assists and two service aces. 

The Pioneers were on fire from the floor in all three games they were victorious, hitting 30%, 30% and 45% respectively while hitting at 0% in the game 2 loss. 

GSC picked up 13 team blocks (6 solo and 14 assisted), led by Roberson’s five (3 solo, 4 assisted).   Jennifer Hecht added five kills and 18 digs as she moved out of the Libero spot for the first time all season. 

The Lady Pioneers return to action this Friday as they play host to PSAC and Region Foe IUP.  The match is slated to start at 7 p.m.
