The Lady Pioneers Volleyball squad rebounded from an opening game loss to put away the visiting Mountain Lions of Concord University tonight at Lilly Gymnasium, 21-25, 25-14, 25-11 and 25-18. GSC came out cold in dropping the 1st game, hitting just 2%. Glenville would warm up, hitting 43%, 21% and 54% respectively over the next three games. The Pioneers were paced by Senior MB Camai Roberson’s 17 kills. Roberson also added six blocks and three service aces. Junior RS Lauren Saelens chipped in nine kills and 1.5 blocks. Junior OH Karly Eskew and Freshman MB Ryan Fieler each recorded eight kills for the Lady Pioneers as they improved to 7-10 Overall and 4-3 in the WVIAC. Senior Libero Jennifer Hecht recorded three aces and 12 digs, while Sophomore Setter Erica Hale racked up an impressive 43 assists. Glenville returns to action tomorrow night as they play host to WVIAC foe Bluefield State College. Game time is 7 p.m.
