GSC Women’s Golf Competes at West Virginia State Invitational

The Glenville State women’s golf team competed at the West Virginia State University Invitational on September 26th and 27th.

On the 26th they played at Big Bend Golf Course in Charleston, WV. Sammi Moore led the Lady Pioneers shooting a 77 on the day which was good enough for 3rd place.
Alex Fitzwater shot a 90, while Kathleen Mizener shot a 93, also Olivia Ferrell shot a 118, and Morgan Talbott finished the day with a 127.
On day two the tournament changed to the Edgewood Country Club in Charleston, WV.
Sammi shot an 88 on day two while Kathleen and Alex both shot a 95, while Olivia finished with a 103, and Morgan scored a 129.
Sammi was the lower scorer; she shot a 165 for both days. Overall the Lady Pioneers finished 4th with a score of 759. The Lady Pioneers will return to the course next Sunday, October 2nd and Monday, October 3rd when they travel to Moundsville for Wheeling Jesuit Invitational.
