(GREENEVILLE, TN) — The GSC bats finally woke up, but the Lady Pioneers Softball Team fell just short as they dropped an extra inning game to Tusculum College 6-5 in the final day of the Tusculum/Comfort Inn Classic.  Glenville State would get single runs in the first three innings to grab a 3-0 lead after 2 and a half.  Tusculum would answer right back as they would plate three in the bottom half of the third to knot the game at three a piece.

The Lady Pioneers would grab the lead back at 4-3 in the top of the 6th as Brooke Foster would drive in pinch runner Katie Bryant with a single to left.

TC would have an answer in the bottom half of the 7th inning, as pinch runner Alex Kimbrell would score with a passed ball.

The top of the 8th would see Candace White placed on 2nd base due to the International Tiebreaker.  White would score as Leanne Harris would single and then advance on a throwing error from the left fielder to grab a 5-4 lead.

Tusculum would plate two in the bottom half of the 8th to pick up the win.
