Ohio Valley owns the team lead after one day of the WVIAC Northern Regional men’s golf tournament. The Fighting Scots recorded a 299 total and own a four-shot lead over the University of Charleston in the team race.
OVU’s J.R. Jones has the advantage in the individual competition after carding an even-par 71 at the Jones Course at Speidel Golf Club. West Liberty’s Brian Williams fired a 72 and holds second. Nick Webber (UC) and Emmanuel Charmat (CU) are tied for third with matching 73′s.
Glenville State shot a 1st round total of 351, paced by an 84 by Bryson Karp and a 86 from Tom Meeks.
