The Glenville State Lady Pioneers blew a 16 point halftime lead to the University of Charleston as the Golden Eagles pulls off the comeback win with a 100-95 victory.
The Lady Pioneers started off fast in the first half as they went 11 for 21 from behind the arc for 52 percent.
In the second half the Lady Pioneers were outscored by the Golden Eagles 59-38 and could not hold off the Golden Eagles comeback. The Golden Eagles took the lead for good on a Erika Rousculp free throw shot with 1:06 left in the game which made it 93-92.
The Lady Pioneers posted five players in double figures with Tenisha Wilson leading the way with 21 points, while Beth Deren scored 18 points before she fouled out late in the second half.
Freshman Kenyell Goodson scored 15 points, while Danielle Woodmore chipped in with 12 points and dished out a team high 5 assists, and Mishae Miles posted her second consecutive double double as she scored 11 points and grabbed a game high 12 rebounds.
The Golden Eagles were led by Lindsey Kentner as she poured in 32 points while Tiani Beatty chipped in with 26 points.
The Lady Pioneers fall to 16-7 (14-4) on the season with the loss at UC. They will return to action on Monday, February 14th when they travel to Concord University with game time set for 5:30PM.
