The Glenville State Lady Pioneers traveled to Philippi, West Virginia on Wednesday night to battle WVIAC Conference foe Alderson-Broaddus.
It was a close game until around the 7:57 mark in the first half when Kim Stephens hit a 3 pointer that sent the Lady Pioneers on a 9-0 run giving them a nice lead.
The Lady Pioneers defense troubled A-B all night as they caused 32 Battler turnovers.
GSC posted three players in double figures with Tenisha Wilson scoring a game high 19 points, while Tiffany Huffman scored a career high 14 points, and Danielle Woodmore chipped in with 12 points.
Mishae Miles just missed a double-double as she scored 8 points and 9 rebounds, while Miranda Reed dished out a game high 9 assists.
Alderson-Broaddus was led by Amanda Peoples with 18 points, while Zipporah Tidwell and Cayla Rhodes both chipped in with 10 points apiece.
The Lady Pioneers now stand at 12-5 overall, and 9-2 in the WVIAC Conference sitting in right behind conference front-runner West Liberty. They will return to action Thursday, January 27th when they travel to Fairmont, West Virginia to battle Fairmont State University; game time is set for 5:30PM.
