Danielle Woodmore scored 21 points and handed out a game high 8 assist as she led the Lady Pioneers to a huge victory over the Fairmont State Fighting Falcons by a score of 106 to 75.
The Lady Pioneers got off to a great start as their defense forced 14 Falcon turnovers in the first half leading to a 56-43 advantage at the half.
Additionally, the Lady Pioneers shot lights out at the Jesse R. Lilly Gymnasium as they connected on 50 percent of their shots from the floor and 32 percent of their shots from behind the three point line.
The Lady Pioneer defense forced 31 total turnovers against the Falcons which led to 42 points for the Lady Pioneers.
Autumn Davis and Tenisha Wilson both scored 12 points for the Lady Pioneers, while LaToya Hamrick had a good game off the bench with 11 points and a team high 8 rebounds.
Kenyell Goodson and Miranda Reed also scored in double figures as they both chipped in with 10 points.
Fairmont State was led by Kaitlin Snyder with a game high 25 points, while teammate Rachel Murray recorded a double-double with 22 points and 15 rebounds.
The Lady Pioneers return to action on Monday, January 17th at home against Bluefield State which is a make up game from January 13th; game time is set for 5:30pm
