The Glenville State College Lady Pioneers basketball team suffered a tough lose at the hands of the University of Charleston 92-99. The Pioneers had a miserable shooting game tonight; they managed to shoot a meager 24 percent from the floor and only 19 percent from behind the three point line.
GSC Women Lose to University of Charleston at Home
The University of Charleston Golden Eagles shot 44 percent from the floor and 42 percent from behind the three point line. A positive for the Pioneers on the night was that they forced 28 turnovers while only turning it over 9 times.
The Pioneers had four players score in double figures, with Kristen Golden leading the way with 18 points; she also had 13 rebounds on the night which gave her a double double.
Donita Adams and Tiffany Huffman both chipped in with 16 points each, and Autumn Davis scored 18 points for the Pioneers.
The University of Charleston was led by Lindsey Kentner with 26 points.
The Pioneers return to action on Monday when they travel to Athens, WV to take on Concord University, tipoff is set for 5:30.
