Lady Pioneers Get Back On Track

 The Lady Pioneers picked up a much needed win, as they ran past the visiting Lady Senators of Davis and Elkins, 80-62, on Senior Night from Lilly Gymnasium. Seniors Mallory Menendez and Christine DiSabato both put on fantastic performances as they each played their last game of their careers on the campus of Glenville State. Menendez was 8 of 10 from the 3pt line as she recorded 26 points and DiSabato would have 8 points and 13 assists with Zero turnovers as the Lady Pioneers improve to 9-17 Overall and 7-12 in the WVIAC. 
Donita Adams added 15 points and seven rebounds and Kim Stephens came off the bench to score 12 points. Suzi Harvey filled the box score with eight points, eight rebounds, five blocks and two assists. 
D&E was passed by Lindsay Holliday’s 13 points. Teonna Jewell added 11 and nine boards as the Lady Sen’s fall to 5-20 overall and 3-16 in conference play. 
Both teams started the game hot as DE would shot 51.5% in the opening frame will the Pioneers would connect on 48.5% of their attempts, including 8 of 16 3pt tries on their way to a 44-39 lead at the break. 
The Lady Pioneers would open the half on a 15-3 run as they would blow the game open and never look back, pushing the lead to as many as 25 before settling on the final.
GSC will travel to WV Wesleyan on Saturday for their last regular season contest. Tip Off is 2 p.m.
