Women’s Basketball Inks South Charleston Standout

Head Coach Dennis Fitzpatrick has announced the early signing of Cierra Jones, a guard from South Charleston High School. Jones averaged 14.2 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists before having her junior season cut short due to a knee injury. She averaged 10.1 points as a sophomore and garnered third team All-MSAC honors.

“Cierra is a gifted athlete that can play one and two for us. She shoots the ball well and is very smooth off the dribble.” said Glenville assistant coach Jerod Alltop. “She was getting Divison I looks before she hurt her knee, and is now fully recovered so we expect her to be a quality player for years to come.”

Jones is the daughter of Jill and Donnie Jones of South Charleston, WV.
