Lady Pioneers Fall to WV State 3-0

Jamie Schindel had six kills against West Virginia State

Institute, WV – The GSC Lady Pioneers Volleyball team fell to the West Virginia State University Yellow Jackets on Monday evening 3-0.

The Lady Pioneers lost in set one, 25-20, set two 25-12, and set three 25-17.

MacKenzie Willneff led the Lady Pioneers in kills with 10, while teammates Jamie Schindel and Heather Stout both finished with six. Sarah Frazier and MacKenzie Willneff both had a serve ace against the Yellow Jackets.

Chelsea Stickleman finished the game with 19 digs, while Heather Stout tallied five. GSC was led by Sarah Frazier in assists with 20.

The Yellow Jackets were led by Alyssa Graboski in kills with 10, while Abigail Easton had 19 assist and Megan Lucas finished with 14 assists.

The Lady Pioneers also committed 22 costly errors on the evening, compared to the Yellow Jackets eight.

The Lady Pioneers will return to action Wednesday when they travel to Wheeling Jesuit. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
