Ken Tackett hands Sammi Moore her Wendy's Amature "Player of the Year" award
On September 20th, the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) held the final golf tournament of the season for the first annual Wendy’s Amateur Tour. The Wendy’s Amateur Tour is a WVGA season-long point’s series. Golfers earned points based on their finish in each event throughout the summer.
After participating in the final match, Glenville State sophomore golfer, Sammi Moore of Elizabeth, WV edged out her opponent, Caroline Ramsey, as she won the Wendy’s Amateur “Player of the Year” title. The two players were tied for 1st place entering the final round on Tuesday. The event was held on the Cobb course at Glade Springs Resort.
