Glenville, WV—Glenville State College will be celebrating Homecoming the week of October 17th. The GSC Student Government Association and the Homecoming Committee have planned a host of activities for student, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends during the week. The theme for the 2011 Homecoming is ‘Take Me Out to the Ballgame,’ as GSC honors former Pioneer baseball players and coaches as well as the 2012 Pioneer Baseball team which will begin NCAA Division II competition this spring. Homecoming is a time for renewing college friendships, making new acquaintances, exchanging college memories and experiences, and enjoying good ole Pioneer Camaraderie.

The Homecoming Coronation will be held on Tuesday, October 18th at 5:00 p.m. in the GSC Amphitheatre. In case of rain, the ceremony will be moved to the Presidents Auditorium in the Heflin Administration Building.

Also on Tuesday, the 10th Annual Fall Bluegrass Concert will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Auditorium. Tickets are $5 each or $8 per couple. GSC students and children under five are admitted free.

On Friday, October 22nd, GSC’s 5th Annual Golf Tribute Tournament will be held at the Glenville Golf Club. The format will be a four-person scramble with a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start.
