Glenville, WV – The Glenville State Lady Pioneers volleyball team defeated the Davis & Elkins Senators on Thursday, October 20th four games to one.
The Lady Pioneers lost game one 14-25, but after winning game two 25-21 the Lady Pioneers found their grove and won game three 25-19, and won game four 25-18.
MacKenzie Willneff led the Lady Pioneers in kills with 11 while Jamie Schindel and JulieAnne Buckley both recorded 10 kills apiece.
Chelsea Stickelman led the team in digs with six while Sarah Frazier and MacKenzie Willneff both finished the game with five digs.
Stefanie Gladders led the team in assists with 30.MacKenzie also recorded three serve aces in the game.
Davis & Elkins was led by Jana Lowe as she had 10 kills and Brittany Anderson finished with eight.
Meaghan Emery led the team in digs with 15. Bre Tognoli led the Senators in assists with 19.
The Lady Pioneers will return to action Monday, October 24th when West Virginia Wesleyan travels to Glenville. Game time is set for 7:00PM.
